Measuring Infinity (Maya)

"How can you hope to find regularities in that which is eternally changing and in which all possibilities, by definition, are given ?"

Western science measures objects: any type of object…

From the smallest to the largest objects: atoms, stars, time, distances, quarks, neurons, tissues, everything…

Through this measuring, science aims to establish regularities: “universal” laws that are valid always and everywhere.

There’s only a small problem with this approach: objects are infinite… the universe is infinite…

Moreover, compared to what could the universe be said to be “finite”?

What is infinite, by the definition of the Western science itself, is immeasurable: measuring it makes no sense.

All the scientific laws formulated so far barely explain ten percent of visible energy and matter; and for millennia now, science has been searching for the lower and upper limits of what we can “see”.

How can you hope to find laws, limits, and rules in what has no end?

How can you hope to find laws in what is eternally changing and in which all possibilities, by definition, are given?

The research on an infinite object can only be, itself, infinite…

What is all this if not merely Illusion, Dream, Maya, Ignorance (Avidyā)?

Why not change the point of observation, the “object” observed?

Observe your-Self!
